VERSUS ELECTRONICS is a micro-festival with live acts and djs to enjoy the most advanced electronica.

A perfect conclusion to the four previous nights Nitsa organizes in Apolo (including Kompakt, Ladomat…) and the three days of Sónar. An event to discover new names in international electronica through the proposals of a pan-european collition of labels presenting the most interesting and contemporary contributions to the genre. spa.RK invites some of its friends, most of them labels without distribution in Spain, to present to the Barcelona audience his favorite artists. A real showcase…

Well-known London based label Worm Interface, publishing among others Russian artist Solar X, presents one of their latest signings, Danish artist Karsten Pflum, a virtuoso of sweet-tooth melodies and deconstructed rhythms. Respected London-based label Expanding Records, who last released the acclaimed compilation "The Condition of Muzak" with the best of its 7"s series, presents mysterious band Stendec ("we make electronic music") and clicky melodic artist Vessel, new addition to Expanding catalogue. Marcia Blaine School for Girls come from Edinburgh and released a track on the compilation "Music Volum Two" from the cult Scotish label Benbecula: just expect the best from someone with such a brilliant choice of name. Local representation will be on the hands of Fibla, high melodic voltage, an artist publishing on Quatermass and co-running Barcelona based label spa.RK, and new artists Eedl, with a sound half way between old skool and the most dreamy landscape painting. Ola Bergman is not a new name for all 12" fans after releasing a split on Skam and his great ep on ultra new Swedish label New Speak. A panorama of new names for an intense evening.

Completing the nite are DJs Shlom (capo of German-Manchester label CCO), DJ Tench (from pioneer internet station, Gaialive) and Django (Worm Interface) + first class visuals by British D-Fuse and Spanish Sixis and Randomzeta.

Un micro-festival con actuaciones en directo y DJs que bajo el nombre de VERSUS ELECTRONICS nos permitirá disfrutar de la electrónica más avanzada.

Como última jornada del VERSUS que tendrá lugar en la sala Apolo, consolidando una propuesta Off-Sónar para todos aquellos que quieran contrastar la realidad musical más emocionante del momento: una velada para descubrir los nuevos nombres de la electrónica internacional a través de diversos sellos dedicados a las propuestas más innovadoras y contemporáneas del género. spa.RK ha invitado a algunos de sus amigos, la mayoría sellos sin distribución en nuestro país, para que presenten a sus artistas favoritos al público de Barcelona. ¡Un show-case en toda regla!

Los más veteranos de la noche son el sello londinense Worm Interface, conocidos por dar cobijo al artista ruso Solar X, presentando a uno de sus últimos fichajes, el danés Karsten Pflum, un virtuoso de las melodías de juguete y los ritmos deconstruidos. El respetado sello londinense Expanding Records, que acaban de publicar el recopilatorio "The Condition of Muzak" recogiendo lo mejor de su colección de 7"s, nos traen a los misteriosos Stendec ("sólo te diré que nosotros hacemos música electrónica") y a Vessel, nuevo fichaje del sello, con un sonido plagado de melodías clickeantes . Marcia Blaine School for Girls son un trío originario de Edinburgo y han debutado en el recopilatorio "Music Volum Two" del sello escocés de culto Benbecula: sólo puede esperarse lo mejor de alguien con tan buen gusto para elegir su nombre. Como representantes locales Fibla, alto voltaje melódico, que publica en Quatermass y es responsable del sello barcelonés spa.RK, y el dúo debutante Eedl, última incorporación al catálogo del sello, con un pie en la old skool y otro en el paisajismo más ensoñador. Ola Bergman no es un desconocido para los fanáticos de los 12", no en vano ha publicado un split en Skam y su debut en solitario ha sido en un ep de sencillez desarmante y toques de electro en el novísimo sello sueco New Speak. Un panorama de nuevos nombres que prometen una noche intensa.
